Abstract
The objective of this research is to develop a web-based mapping platform featuring an encrypted addressing system, aimed at overcoming the limitations of address information utilization within the contexts of smart cities and hyper-connected societies. The existing addressing framework inadequately captures the accuracy and extensibility required for diverse applications, while issues surrounding personal data protection and security have become increasingly critical. In contemporary society, address information serves a pivotal role that extends beyond mere residential identification, encompassing essential functions in logistics, healthcare, urban management, and various other sectors, with its utilization steadily on the rise. Consequently, there is an urgent imperative for the establishment of a secure and efficient addressing system. To systematically address these challenges, this study will implement a structured methodology comprising the following steps: Firstly, a novel addressing system tailored for specific environments, such as cultural heritage sites, will be devised using geohashing techniques. Secondly, this address information will undergo secure encryption through the application of geoblocking technology. Lastly, the research will culminate in the development of a web-based platform designed to operationalize this encrypted addressing system. Through these efforts, the research aspires to resolve existing shortcomings in current addressing frameworks, enhance the security and efficiency of address information through the integration of geohashing and blockchain technologies, and fortify public accessibility and data integrity, thereby providing a foundational resource for expanding the applicability of address information in both smart cities and the metaverse.
