N2 - Hyperspectral imaging surpasses human vision and provides detailed information such as material composition or biochemical conditions of the test object, especially when empowered by artificial intelligence (AI). We have implemented a compact, AI-powered, camera-type 16-channel hyperspectral imaging system (HIS) which has periodically repeating arrays of 16 different metasurface spectral filters directly fabricated on top of its 5M-pixel CMOS-image sensor. With this AI-powered meta-HIS, we have continuously monitored and successfully classified the edibility of the red meat over 20 days.
