Abstract

Mobile Cloud Computing is a proper way to overcome the limitations of mobile devices. However, Mobile Cloud Computing system also has inevitable systematical shortcomings, such as varying turn-around time and resource waste in mobile device. In our prior study, we proposed a framework which enables device participation in Mobile Cloud Computing, and confirmed through an empirical study that the proposed framework can outperform the traditional system. However, the experiment environment was not realistic because we focused on comparing the performance of the proposed framework to that of previous techniques. Thus, in order to verify if the proposed framework can be applied to a more realistic Cloud Computing environment, we elaborated the algorithm of framework, and conducted an extensive set of simulations with various scenarios. Through this analysis on Cloud Computing system from various perspectives, we could confirm that the framework can be employed in a realistic Cloud Computing system.
