Abstract

In this paper, we studied color purity of blue organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) with bottom emission structure by the thickness of organic layers. Although device has same thickness, color index is different by optical length as each layer thickness. Especially, thickness of ETL (Electron transport layer) between emissive layer and mirror is an important factor to realize good color purity. As ETL thickness of blue devices is increased, EL spectrum is broadened and red-shifted.
