Abstract

In this letter, we analyze the effects of array weight error (AWE) on the antenna array (AA) aided uplink synchronous multicarrier DS-CDMA system. The bit error rate performance is evaluated in terms of the important factors such as the number of antennas, the variance of AWE, and the number of users. Furthermore, the scenario of synchronous uplink with AA is compared with asynchronous scheme. Numerical results show that the performance employing synchronous transmission with AA in uplink can be further improved, even at high level of AWE.
