Abstract

In this work, new simple method to make a conductive ball was developed. 5 nm sized Ni nanoparticle was uniformly coated onto PMMA ball with highly adhesive force leading to successful electroless-plating of Au onto it. The surface roughness is smooth, and such a good surface leads to good electrical properties with low resistance of 6 Ωball, and uniformity is also good. So, high performance conductive ball was fabricated by using the coating of Ni nanoparticle followed by Au electroless-plating.
