Novel transparent thin film passivation layer for top emission organic light-emitting devices

Abstract

We have developed the transparent passivation layer for the top emission organic light-emiiting devices using CsCl thin film prepared by the thermal evaporation method. The CsCl layer was highly transparent when it was encapsulated in the inert atmosphere without exposing to air after the deposition of the layer. The device passivated with CsCl thin film showed higher efficiency compared with the unpassivated device.
