Abstract

This paper deals with the watermarking problem for irregular shaped objects in video. Extracting the meaningful objects from video, we have implemented the watermarking using the SA-DCT (Shape Adaptive Discrete Cosine Transform) and conventional rectangular-based watermarking using various padding methods. The experimental results show that the SA-DCT method is superior to all other padding methods in terms of the robustness against the image deformations such as lossy compression, adding noise, filtering, and clipping.
