Abstract
Organic bistable memory devices were demonstrated by applying poly(styrene sulfonate)-doped poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiopen) (PEDOT:PSS) as a self-organized charge trapping center inside a poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene) (PFO). PEDOT:PSS was introduced as nanoparticles by the chemical surface energy difference between PFO and PEDOT:PSS. The PEDOT:PSS nanoparticles played a role of the charge trapping center and an average on/off ratio around 100 was observed at a reading voltage of -2 V. The combination of PEDOT:PSS nanoparticle and LiF/Al cathode resulted in organic light-emitting bistable devices with a stable bistability and light-emitting performances.
