Printed organic single-crystal tfts with bottom-contact structure

Abstract

Single-crystal 6,13-bis(triisopropylsilylethynyl) (TIPS) pentacene organic thin-film transistors (TFTs) were fabricated by ink-jet printing with bottom-contact structure. Direct printed organic single crystals were obtained using selective surface energy modification and mixed solvent system. The ink-jet printed organic single crystal TFT showed field-effect mobility as high as 1.7 cm2/Vs with post solvent annealing process.
