Abstract

The Hirshfeld surface area was evaluated for both the complexes [Zn3(L)2Cl6] (1) and [Cd(L)(H20)2](C104)2 (2) [L = N6 donor hexadentate Schiff base 2,4-bis[2-(pyridine-2-ylmethylidene)hydrazinyl]pyrimidine]. The Hirshfeld surface analysis quantify the rare Cl-Cl weak interaction in 1 and other molecular interactions e.g. CH, H-H, CC, Kn present in the solid state of both complexes 1 and 2.
