Abstract

In this paper, we suggest a simple time diversity scheme for a subcarrier intensity modulation/spatial modulation (SIM/SM) system in a AWGN channel, as the time diversity technique can accomplish a sensible diversity gain without increasing the complexity with multiple receivers. Note that the SIM/SM employs a single receiver. Through a computer simulation, the performances in terms of bit error rate (BER) are investigated and compared to those without diversity.
