Abstract

Fabrication of a transparent conduction double-layer metal electrode for top emission organic light-emitting devices which consists of thin layers of Ca and Ag metals was discussed. The fabrication of metal double layer film was done using the vacuum thermal evaporation technique. It was found that the resulting structure had high transparency and low reflectivity in the visible range. It was suggested that the transparent conducting Ca-Ag metal electrode provides a way to fabricate top-emitting organic displays without generating damage-induced states.
