Abstract
The aim of this article is to lay a foundation for providing a soft algebraic tool in considering many problems that contain uncertainties. In order to provide these soft algebraic structures, the notion of union soft commutative BCI-ideals is introduced, and related properties are investigated. Relations between a union soft commutative BCI-ideal and a (closed) union soft BCI-ideal are displayed. Conditions for a union soft BCIideal to be a union soft commutative BCI-ideal are established. Characterizations of a union soft commutative BCI-ideal are considered, and a new union soft commutative BCI-ideal from an old one is constructed.
