Variant RSS adaptive filtering method in beacon environments

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Beacons are recently utilized in door environments to recognize human locations. The RSSI is unstable comparing to outdoor environments. To increase the accuracy of the estimated locations based on beacons, the RSSI between beacons and access points should be measured reducing the measurement errors. The RSSI filters to increase the accuracy of measured RSSI are utilized. For the further improvement of reducing the errors, an integration approach of multiple filters. In this paper, we proposed an integration method of two filters, RF-II and Window-based filtering. By applying two filters simultaneously, the accuracy of RSSIs is efficiently improved.
